When Tiffany & Matt told me they wanted their engagement session at Chicago O'hare International Airport, I knew it would be unlike anything I'd photographed before.


For T it wasn't just a unique place to take engagement photos, it was a way to honor her dad, who dedicated more than 40 years of his career to United Airlines. After his recent passing, she wanted to celebrate his memory in a place that meant so much to him and to their family. It was one of the most heartfelt engagement sessions I've ever had the privilege of photographing.


We began our adventure by making our way through TSA (yes, this engagement session started just like a real trip!), then wandered through the airport concourses, stopping to capture quiet moments, laughter, and the excitement of this season of their lives. Between the bustling terminals, iconic windows overlooking the runways, and the anticipation of travel all around us, O'Hare International Airport created an unforgettable backdrop.


One of the most special moments came when we were able to step outside onto the airport stairs and watch the United airplanes up close. Knowing how much those planes symbolized Tiffany's dad made that part of the session incredibly meaningful. It was a beautiful reminder that engagement photos can tell your story, not just showcase a beautiful location.


As we explored the airport, we focused on documenting who they are together. The genuine smiles, the quiet moments, the excitement for their future, and the love they share are what made this session so memorable.


I believe the best engagement sessions happen in places that hold personal meaning. Whether it's where you met, your favorite coffee shop, a family property, or somewhere as iconic as Chicago O'Hare International Airport, choosing a location that reflects your story creates photographs you'll treasure for a lifetime.


In just a few months, I'll have the honor of photographing T and M again as they say "I do" on the beautiful shores of Gilson Beach, just north of Chicago. I already know their wedding day will be filled with just as much love, intention, and heartfelt meaning as their engagement session.
