Some connections stick with you, M & N are one of those couples.
I first met them during a quick fall session last year, so when M reached out after their engagement at the Honeycomb in Lincoln Park, Chicago, asking me to photograph their wedding, I was incredibly honored.
We originally planned their engagement session at Jackson Park, but the timing of the blooms didn’t quite line up. Instead, we chose Cantigny Park and it ended up being the perfect setting. With its lush greenery, blooming gardens, and beautiful variety of backdrops, it gave us so much to work with.
M & N were so natural together - full of laughter, connection, and excitement for what’s ahead. We started with soft, backlit golden-hour portraits, wandered through the gardens capturing candid moments, and we even mixed in some fun, movement-based photos, letting them run through the gardens and just be themselves. Then we ended the session with architectural shots near the McCormick House, every part of their session felt effortless and true to them and that’s what made it so special.
I look forward to documenting their wedding this fall at the River Room at Burning Bush Brewery in Chicago - it is sure to be an incredibly beautiful and meaningful day.
